View of Loch Lomond from Drumkinnon Bay

The Drumkinnon Night Hike is a new concept of getting outdoors... Fast becoming more and more popular "night Hiking" is a great way of keeping fit and experiencing the outdoors after dark. Starting at Glasgow's SECC the walk takes in some of the sites and sounds of Glasgow city before moving off into the night and quieter surroundings on the popular Glasgow - Loch Lomond cycle way. Initially heading off in a westerly direction the route quietly wanders past some of Glasgows outlying districts before turning north to meet and follow the River Leven which flows from Loch Lomond into the River Clyde. The walk then passes through the little tourist town of Balloch near the end of the way, before reaching the finish at Drumkinnon Bay on Loch Lomondside.

This 20 mile walk is a great way of spending time with friends and family as well as working on your fitness and raising money for a good cause for a charity of your choice. Ptarmigan Events provide all the help and support along the way with marshalls, tea stops, water stops etc, aswell as that bacon butty at the end as you stand and watch the sunrise over Loch Lomond.
